The Office of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse seeks a highly motivated entry-level Press & Digital Assistant to join a busy, creative communications team. Primary responsibilities include cutting and editing video, producing daily news clips and digital tracking reports, monitoring social media, maintaining the website and media contact list, preparing memos, drafting monthly newsletters, and writing social media posts and other materials as needed.


Candidates should have stellar written communications and organizational skills in addition to experience with videography and still photography. Proficiency with the Adobe Suite, including Adobe Premiere, and all major social media platforms is required. The Press & Digital Assistant will have a positive attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a nimble approach to learning and supporting the team. Strong Rhode Island ties preferred.
