Job Description

Senate Photographic Services, part of the Senate Sergeant at Arms, is seeking a Photographic Services Specialist to support the coordination, scheduling, and delivery of official Senate photography, short-form video, and visual media services.

This position is best suited for a highly organized, professional, customer-service-oriented individual who can communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and provide steady support in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. While the office supports photography and visual documentation, this is primarily a scheduling, customer service, administrative, and operations coordination role rather than a photographer position.

The Photographic Services Specialist serves as a front-line point of contact for Senators, Senate staff, senior offices, and other stakeholders. The role helps receive and clarify service requests, coordinate schedules and resources, communicate assignment details, maintain workflow visibility, and support accurate records, reports, and service-related systems.

Ideal candidates will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and a service-minded approach. Experience in scheduling, administrative support, constituent services, customer service, office operations, service desk coordination, executive support, or Hill/front-office environments would translate well to this position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and scheduling photo and video service requests

• Communicating professionally with Senate offices and internal staff

• Translating customer needs into clear assignment details

• Helping track workflow, records, reports, and service activity

• Supporting day-to-day office operations and process improvement

• Assisting users and stakeholders with service tools and request processes

• Maintaining a responsive, discreet, and professional standard of service

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to support the work and history of the U.S. Senate from an operations and customer-service role within a unique visual media office.
