Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) is seeking a dependable, good-humored, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individual to serve as a Special Assistant/Driver/Body Person in the Washington, D.C. office. The candidate will be able to work independently, manage time efficiently, demonstrate impeccable judgment and discretion, and communicate clearly and professionally. Responsibilities include driving the Senator, staffing the Senator at various on and off-campus events and official duties, serving as the primary backup for scheduling duties, and aiding in a variety of administrative tasks in the office. Qualified candidates must have an impeccable driving record and a reliable vehicle. This position requires the individual be available for extended and unscheduled hours (including nights, weekends and/or holidays). Additional duties as assigned. This is an entry level position. The salary for this position is $62,355 annually, with benefits that include a federal student loan repayment option.
