We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs. We’ve been saving lives every day for over 20 years.
Overview of the role
The Research Associate will provide support for the ongoing activities of our Research team including our annual National Survey on LGBTQ Mental Health, quarterly research reports, and monthly research briefs. They will also assist in the development and refinement of peer-reviewed research products including conference presentations and manuscripts. The Research Associate will work closely with the Senior Research Scientist to ensure that data from our research projects serve to dramatically expand the body of research on LGBTQ youth mental health.

- Experienced. You have worked in research labs before and understand what is required to conduct high-quality human subjects research. You can interpret data analysis results and are able to use data output from statistical software such as SPSS to create reports.

What you’ll do
- Create engaging presentations, reports, and visual aids based on our data outputs
- Perform literature reviews on key topics relevant to our mission of saving young LGBTQ lives
- Create and update research protocols to ensure efficiency and alignment across our research team
- Organize, manage, and track research speaking engagements, products, and meetings
- Provide editorial support for research products including peer-reviewed manuscripts, research reports, and research briefs
- Create and maintain data dictionaries to allow for greater clarity and consistency in data analysis across the research team
- Develop templates for new research outputs
- Use our data outputs to create reports by specific subgroups such as state or region
