In order to meet the organizational capacity requirements of CalAIM, particularly with implementation of Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports, as well as the implementation of a DSNP line of business, this limited term position (6 months) will support the following activities with the goal of developing a strategy, implementation plan, and resource recommendations for SFHP to build the capacity needed in the external affairs space to meet impending future growth.

SFHP supports a hybrid work plan and as such this role will be required to be on-site and in-office a minimum of 4 days per month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interview internal and external stakeholders on status of gaps in external relationships to support ECM program and DSNP growth.
  • Engage with senior leadership on provider relationship development and issues management in current ECM implementation and general operations.
  • Develop asset map of gaps in relationships with ECM providers, City and County elected and appointed officials, etc.
  • Establish introductory relationship building meetings with key stakeholders identified through interviews and asset mapping and begin ongoing engagement with stakeholders (identify issues, plan resolution, identify anticipated needs, develop cadence of ongoing communication, etc.)
  • Identify staffing and resource needs for ongoing investment in this function in the short and long term.

Deliverables include:

  • Strategy and implementation plan for SFHP External Affairs
  • Resource recommendations for SFHP External Affairs

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Master’s degree in public policy, public administration or health related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience in health plan administration, policy or legislative body acceptable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading large teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a state regulated health care environment
  • Knowledge of the health care landscape and environment in California and San Francisco, including CalAIM, Dual Special Needs Programs and Enhanced Care Management regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of SFHP.
  • Flexible and able to manage competing priorities; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
