This position is within the Bureau for Resilience, Environment and Food Security (REFS) , located at 500 D Street, SW., Washington, DC., at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).


Duties

Provides leadership on strategic communications for resilience, climate, environment, and food security. Analyzes and executes strategies, including congressional and social media tasks. Coordinates Agency and USG solutions to development challenges.

Leads strategic communications for the Bureau, coordinating with Agency experts. Manages public relations to support USAID/REFS programs globally. Oversees event outreach.

Serves as a senior expert, coordinating strategic communications for USAID/REFS. Acts as liaison with other Bureaus, ensuring accurate information dissemination. Prepares materials for congressional relations. Drafts speeches and press releases.

Serves in a supervisory role in the organization with management oversight of the Strategic Communications Team to elevate and spearhead communications approaches for the Bureau, directing and coordinating communications to elevate messaging
