The Campaign Committee for New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo seeks a Finance Associate. The Finance Associate will serve second in command of the campaign’s finance team with direct involvement in fundraising, compliance, and events. This is a rare introduction to the New York political landscape and to organize fundraising events at some of the most unique locations in the world. Ideal candidates possess excellent time-management and communication skills, are highly detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under deadlines. Candidates must take initiative and direction and be eager to learn.

Please note that while this position will start in a remote setting, candidates should expect to work in New York City and across the state for events and for other tasks as assigned. Candidates must live or be willing to locate to the New York City area if offered the position.

This position is within the campaign’s finance team and reports to the Finance Director. Starting salary is $45,000 for this position but is also commensurate with experience. Health and dental benefits provided.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist Finance Director in fundraising and managing the campaign’s donor base.

• Build, support, and staff finance events; prepare materials for donor meetings, fundraisers, and campaign events.

• Collaborate on digital strategy, including targeted emails, digital fundraising, and social media outreach.

• Direct practices to ensure that the campaign is in compliance with New York State Board of Elections (BOE) policy and reporting regulations.

• Work with the treasurer’s office to manage BOE filings and maintain compliance with BOE rules.

• Oversee misc. compliance procedures for the campaign, included but not limited to contributions, expenditures, prospective venues, event hosts, and other work as assigned.

• Assist in managing the budget of the campaign including approving invoices and expenditures with treasurer’s office.

• Assist in office management responsibility, including: campaign staff hirings, office openings, IT maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

• Oversee the student volunteer program for Spring, Summer, and Fall Sessions.

• Assist the New York State Democratic Committee in their fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one cycle of campaign experience.

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.

• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays when necessary.

• Ability and willingness to operate a motor vehicle.

• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Microsoft Excel.

• Expertise with NGP 8 is preferred.
