Position Title: Social Media Coordinator

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum Department of Marketing

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has an opening for a full-time exempt Social Media Coordinator in the Marketing Department.

Company Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music—a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music while providing diverse learning opportunities. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its emergence as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to ultra-contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.

Job Overview: Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, the Social Media Coordinator will pay an integral role in executing the social media needs of institutional and internal clients to ensure that best-of-class social media marketing practices and real-time engagement are applied and institution brand standards are met to support the many goals and objectives of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, Historic RCA Studio B, Hatch Show Print, CMA theater, and Voices In The Hall. This position provides great opportunity to experience digital marketing content distribution, social media design/production, analytics and metrics.

Specific Job Duties:

Manage the day-to-day content planning, scheduling, real-time monitoring and engagement for Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, Historic RCA Studio B, Hatch Show Print, CMA theater, and Voices In The Hall’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

Manage the content calendar with the Senior Digital marketing Manager to ensure all social platforms are populated with engaging content that supports the institutional and internal clients’ goals and mission

Cross-promotional marketing between different divisions of company through social platforms

Pitch creative ideas to increase engagement, grow follower base, and increase traffic to site/ticket sales

Produce social media content through social graphics and gifs

Help improve inter-departmental knowledge through market research activities to better understand social media marketing and content distribution, competitive landscape, and emerging market through social media best practices.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication or related field

Strong understanding of social media platforms and well-versed in fundamental digital marketing metrics and calculations

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year social media marketing experience

Experience running paid social media campaigns

Prior hospitality, tourism, not for profit, publishing, digital content, agency or related experience

Essential Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and abilities needed for success in the position):

Self-starter, creative, analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving

Strong eye for visual content development

Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Google Analytics, Photoshop, Social Media Marketing Software and online applications (Falcon.io, Facebook/Twitter/Instagram insights and analytics, Business manager, Metltwater, Basecamp)

Upbeat and energetic and ability to create a positive work culture

Ability to work independently and cooperatively

Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

Conditions of Employment:

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the company’s sole discretion. Periodic nights and weekends required.

Able to exercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality

Ability to squat, lift and carry marketing materials and supplies
