Job Description
Overview /Objective
The selected applicant will be working as a part of the NFL's Communication Department, supporting the Football Communications group’s day-to-day activities with an emphasis placed on generating football content.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Football Communications team to contribute ideas and develop quality notes highlighting the game on the field.
- Edits, fact-checks and proofreads all football content.
- Respond to media inquiries.
- Available on Sundays in-season to produce weekly recaps of the key aspects of pregame shows and track relevant football clips.
- Produces Football Communications content (both for written press releases and social media).
- Create informational graphics to promote key football related content and themes.
- Research football information, including game notes, statistics, milestones and records.
- Support accreditation process and media relations for key NFL events, including the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl Games, NFL Draft, NFL Combine and international games.
- Assist with sending and posting press releases on www.nflcommunications.com and @NFL345, the department twitter account.
Required Qualifications
- Practiced in Microsoft Office
- Profound, in-depth NFL knowledge
- Strong organizational, writing and editing skills
- Good research skills and ability to fact-check
- Ability to generate new and creative ideas, especially as it relates to NFL statistics
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year degree or equivalent education
- Experience using Adobe Cloud (InDesign and Photoshop)
- Verbal communications and phone presence

Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
