Meet The Dexcom Summer Internship Program


Looking to spend your summer working with innovative technology and changing lives for patients with diabetes? Dexcom’s U.S. 10-week internship program provides an experience driven program aimed at developing the next generation of talent. Our hybrid and remote work model ensure that we can invite a diverse and talented intern class from across the country. Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their skills all while contributing to key company projects and initiatives. Dexcom interns have earned the nickname of “Game Changers” based on their ability to leave a lasting impact on our organization. Where You Come In


  • You will be a contributing team member of the global Government Affairs function for Dexcom.
  • You will learn the many aspects of how to be an outstanding Government Affairs specialist, making key contributions within the health care industry.
  • You will learn how to hold a responsible and constructive dialogue with government officials.
  • You will have an opportunity to understand impact of emerging science, patient trends and changing legislations globally on company roadmap.
  • You will learn valuable interpersonal skills, effective communication skills (both written and verbal), project planning and organizational skills.

What Makes You Successful


  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills regarding policy development and analysis.
  • You have experience working in or with U.S. state or federal legislative or executive branches.
  • You have demonstrated experience working directly with government officials.
  • Experience working with a political action committee and grassroots advocacy program.
  • Experience working with trade associations.
  • You are motivated by working at a fast pace.
  • You have a demonstrated interest in diabetes (a huge plus!).

Education And Experience


  • Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience and a High school diploma/certificate or equivalent.
  • Must be a current bachelor's degree student graduating December 2024 or after.

Non-Exempt Salary Details


The hourly salary range for this role is $21.00 to $24.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.


Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
