Policy Analyst, Middle Eastern government (Gulf)


The Policy Analyst is part of a diverse team that conducts research and prepares reports and analysis on a broad range of issues for a senior government official. The office also drafts correspondence, remarks and speeches for her. The analyst will also review products prepared by other teams, which includes in-depth fact checking, formatting and other related tasks, often to very tight deadlines.  

 

The role requires a very comprehensive command of international affairs and issues shaping the political dynamics of the Middle East, including security issues, trade, development, migration, climate, gender, and interfaith relations. In addition, successful candidates should bring in-depth expertise in at least one other region of the world.  


The role requires excellent research skills, and the ability to express complex developments in succinct, well written briefs in English. The working languages of the team are English and Arabic, but Arabic skills are not a requirement for this role. 


This role is ideally suited for candidates with at least 5 years of prior work experience in diplomacy, political consulting, academia, risk assessment, or journalism. It provides a unique opportunity to support the policy making process within a dynamic and dedicated team government officials and other experts.


This is a full-time role, based in a Middle Eastern capital city. The position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
