Today, We Are Looking For
As the Director, Strategic Education Partnerships, you will establish, manage, and grow strategic relationships with education, community, and nonprofit organizations across Houston to plan, pilot, and execute initiatives of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Talent & Economic Mobility strategy; deepen engagement with UpSkill Houston Steering Committee members; and lead collaborative efforts that align education and workforce systems, expand access to career pathways, and drive economic mobility and business growth across the region.
Additional responsibilities for the Director, Strategic Education Partnerships include:
- Apply strategic and hands-on approaches to analyze challenges, develop solutions, and guide execution within education and workforce systems.
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including education, nonprofit, community, and government partners.
- Lead pilot projects and implementation efforts within education systems, incorporating agile methods and real-time feedback.
- Track performance metrics, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure alignment with initiative goals and outcomes.
- Communicate progress, insights, and results to internal and external stakeholders, supporting transparency and collaboration.
To thrive, you should have:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in relationship and/or project management within education, nonprofit, or economic development sectors.
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience, certifications, or relevant credentials considered.
- Solid proficiency in project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex challenges, develop innovative solutions, and execute results-driven initiatives.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and work extended hours as needed.
