Job Description

Bakehouse Art Complex seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Development Operations & Database Manager to oversee the systems, data, and processes that support the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts.

This position will serve as the primary administrator of the CRM and Fundraising Database (Bloomerang), ensuring that donor and prospect information is accurate, complete, consistent, and useful. The Manager will be responsible for gift entry and processing, donor records, acknowledgments, reporting, list management, data analysis, and maintaining the integrity of Bakehouse’s development database. The role will also conduct prospect research and prepare donor intelligence to support effective campaign planning, cultivation, and stewardship.

This is an important operational role within a growing nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys making systems work well, understands the importance of clean and reliable data, and can translate information in the database into reports and insights that help staff and leadership make better fundraising decisions.

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be both meticulous and curious and someone who cares about getting every donor record right but also understands that the purpose of good data is to strengthen relationships and fundraising.

They will be comfortable moving between detailed work, entering and reconciling gifts, cleaning records, building lists and higher-level work such as developing reports that help leadership understand where fundraising stands and where opportunities exist. They will also be able to synthesize research into succinct prospect briefings that inform donor strategy and campaign leadership decisions.

Most importantly, this person will help Bakehouse build the development infrastructure necessary to support an organization entering an ambitious period of growth.
