Operations and Events Coordinator

The Operations and Events Coordinator will provide focused support for the Zcash Foundation’s (ZF) operational and administrative activities, as well as international events delivery. Additionally, as a maturing international public charity, ZF’s administrative and operational demands are increasing. The Operations and Events Coordinator will play an integral role in ensuring that our operational and administrative activities maintain the high level of professionalism and quality of execution ZF and the Zcash community has come to expect. The Operations and Events Coordinator will report to ZF’s Operations Director.

Responsibilities will include: 

• Zcash Community Grants Committee (ZCG) support
• Take minutes at bi-weekly ZCG meetings
• Ensure all pre-meeting updates are completed 
• Recruitment and onboarding support
• Post approved roles on relevant newsletters, websites, social media, etc. 
• Track candidate submissions and coordinate interviews
• Provide general onboarding support to the Operations Director and COO
• External relations support
• Monitor general ZF email inboxes, triage requests,and  route or respond accordingly
• Trademark enforcement support
• First-pass review and tracking of potential trademark violations, escalating violations for senior leadership action
• Keep track of ongoing enforcement actions
• Zcon support
• Provide pre, during, and post event support for all administrative and operational activities related to Zcash Foundation events (regional, technical, and annual major conferences, workshops, and team retreats)
• Other duties as assigned to support communications, operations, and event coordination

The ideal candidate will likely possess many (but not necessarily all) of the following personal attributes, skills, and experience: 

• Experience providing remote administrative and operational support to a small, dispersed, highly professional team
• Detail-oriented
• Desire to travel internationally to support events
• Incredible organizational skills, able to juggle multiple priorities at once in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
• Open, transparent and direct communication style; open to feedback
• Passionate about delivering “Privacy for the Public Good”
