Summary

This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), Office of Labor Affairs (OLA).


Duties

As a Trade Policy Research Coordinator (Labor), GS-0301-9/11/12, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

Coordinates research and analysis projects on a variety of trade and labor issues relating to the mission of Office of Labor Affairs (OLA), including by reviewing source materials written in the foreign languages. Leads team research projects and conducts individual research projects.

Reviews, analyzes and summarizes domestic and foreign trade and labor policies and practices, laws, regulations and other measures, negotiating proposals, economic and trade data, and other information relating to the mission of OLA.

Supports the operation of the USMCA Interagency Labor Committee on Monitoring and Enforcement, as well as related USMCA labor projects and initiatives. This includes coordinating and managing information sharing mechanisms for the Interagency Committee, and supporting USTR and Committee reporting requirements.

Assists OLA personnel in compiling information to be used in reports, briefing materials, Congressional testimony, responses to controlled correspondence, etc.

Uses a variety of software to prepare economic and labor reports, charts, graphs, tables, etc.

Serves on and participates in intra-agency and interagency research teams.

Performs other related duties as assigned, including administrative support to OLA.
