The Office of Senator Tom Carper (Del.) seeks exceptional students and recent graduates who are committed to public service to serve Scheduling/Operations Intern in our Washington, DC office this Summer. The Summer internship term is from May 2024 through August 2024.

Interns in Washington, DC, are fully integrated into office operations. They assist the scheduling and administrative teams with day to day operations including creating and collecting briefing materials for the Senator, assisting with archiving efforts, and helping with office administrative organization. They also have the opportunity to work with the legislative staff to perform research, draft letters and memos, and attend hearings. Interns provide general administrative support by helping to greet constituents, answer phones, and give tours. Interns are encouraged to attend special events that occur in the Senate and the House of Representatives and will have the opportunity to explore the many monuments and landmarks of our Nation’s Capital.
