Job Description
Republican U.S. Senator is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Scheduler to manage the Senator’s daily and long-term calendar in the Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong administrative and communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the Senator’s daily and long-term calendar, including meetings, briefings, travel, and events in both D.C. and the home state.
- Prioritize and evaluate all incoming scheduling requests in coordination with the Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, Communications Director, and State Director.
- Work closely with legislative, communications, and state teams to ensure alignment of priorities and messaging.
- Coordinate logistics for official travel, including flights, lodging, transportation, and event prep.
- Draft and maintain daily and weekly itineraries for the Senator.
- Coordinate daily logistics to/from the Senator’s meetings on and off the Hill.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all scheduling matters with outside stakeholders, including constituents, elected officials, federal agencies, and advocacy groups.
Qualifications:
- Previous Capitol Hill scheduling experience strongly preferred.
- Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude under pressure.
- Commitment to conservative principles.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends as determined by the Senate schedule.
