Job Description
Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, is looking for aspiring journalists for its 2023 summer internship program. We welcome passionate, curious reporters and producers who want to tell stories for a global audience. Our paid internships are hands-on reporting positions covering business, political and general news.
Internships last for 10 weeks and begin in mid-June 2023. Most are in our New York and Washington bureaus, but opportunities in Chicago, Houston and San Francisco are possible. Applicants must have completed at least two years of university and in most cases will be either enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-graduate journalism program.
About You:
As a Summer Intern at Reuters, you will:
- Work on a tightly knit team covering spot news, contributing collaboratively on deadline
- Pitch enterprising story ideas
- Participate in journalism training programs
About the Role:
As a Summer Intern at Reuters, you will likely have:
- Some prior journalism experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- A background in journalism, economics, business, law, accounting or computer science
- Ambitious journalistic goals and a hunger to develop news-wire reporting skills to meet them

Our Application Process:

- We encourage all applications to include a cover letter referencing the Reuters reporting they admire most and a relevant reporting idea or two of their own.
- We will reviewing and assessing candidates on a rolling basis.
- The start date for the internship is mid-June 2023, the internship will last a duration of 10 weeks and is fully paid
