Job Description
Established Capitol Hill Consulting firm specializing in political fundraising, event management and campaigns is seeking an experienced and energetic candidate to support a dynamic team with a growing woman-owned business including fundraising, client & project management and oversight of firm operations. Commensurate with experience, skills and interest there are many opportunities to grow as a member of an exciting and creative team. Success in this role requires an ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, sound judgment, a positive attitude, and a willingness to be a proactive problem-solver.
Molly Allen Associates is based in Washington, DC. The Fundraising and Operations Coordinator will work out of our office on Capitol Hill.
Scope
- Projects are assigned by a Principal or higher-level manager.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure clear communication and coordination of tasks.
- Help develop and maintain efficient operational procedures and project management tools to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Set an example for other personnel by upholding company ideals and values.
Responsibilities
- Daily management of internal workflow and deadlines for team and Principal using Asana software.
- Conduct database management, ongoing tracking of RSVPs and pledges and thoughtful donor research & analysis.
- Manage donor outreach and communication related to client events and activities.
- Preparation and staffing for events & meetings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Event scheduling and communication with key client staff;
- Drafting invitations;
- Coordinating with internal MAA team and outside vendors on event set-up, catering & other logistics;
- Drafting of memos and other client reports;
- Preparing nametags & on-site event management.
- Assist with calltime preparation and staffing.
- Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed in concert with appropriate staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong, professional, human relations skills with the capacity to interact and manage both internal and external stakeholders with respect for confidentiality and accountability.
- Superior analytical, oral, and written communication skills to initiate, compose and appropriately format correspondence and client reports & briefings.
- Excellent project management skills, keen attention to detail and robust skills in prioritizing, organizing, delegating and planning work.
- High energy coupled with ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Experience with research, planning and follow up for project and event management.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is required.
