Foreign Affairs Officer - Direct Hire Authority

Summary

This serves as public notice for the use of an Agency-specific Direct Hire Authority. Applicants will be forwarded to the selecting official for consideration. We may select from this announcement or any other source to fill one or more vacancies in the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy (CDP) or Office of Technology and Security Policy (CDP/ICP/TS).


Duties

Provides policy relevant assessments that involve the research and innovative, in-depth analysis of information derived from a variety of sources; applies new methods or refined techniques to develop new approaches to the analysis of policy.

Represents the U.S. Government and leads U.S. delegations at meetings of international bodies in the absence of senior level representatives. Chairs working groups and task forces related to policy development.

Coordinates public affairs and congressional strategy with respect to the subject matter under his/her direction and gives public addresses on such issues.

Provides leadership and guidance to peers and to subordinate staff in areas of designated competence, often coordinating related day to day activities to assist senior leadership.
