U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen’s reelection campaign is seeking a Deputy Communications Director to join their fast-paced communications team. Responsibilities include helping to develop and execute campaign’s overall earned media strategy; overseeing the day-to-day press operation; working closely with state and local media; drafting press releases, speeches, op-eds and other written materials; and more.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communications skills, a strong work ethic, and enjoys working collaboratively with a team. Nevada ties and campaign experience are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Communications Director to develop and execute communications strategy and tactics
  • Oversee the campaign’s day-to-day press operation, including rapid response
  • Build and maintain relationships with state, local, and select national press
  • Draft written materials including statements, speeches, op-eds, press releases and advisories, and talking points
  • Help pitch and book the Senator, as well as surrogates, for interviews and cable TV appearances
  • Assist with other communications duties as needed


Qualifications (Required):

  • Two cycles of campaign experience or equivalent
  • On-the-record experience and strong track record of working with reporters
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Enjoys working with a team
  • Capacity and willingness to work long hours during busy campaign moments
  • Cultural competency and an understanding of how to take an inclusive lens into all aspects of work

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Nevada press ties
  • Spanish-language fluency

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Salary: $7,000/month starting salary - commensurate with experience
